2012 Travel Books for Summer Reading

Dolman Best Travel Book Award is given by the Author’s Club in Britain every year to recognize outstanding travel literature. It is one of the few awards that focuses exclusively on travel writing, a genre that enables readers to explore new places through the travel logs, memories,  and reflections of an author.  The long list of nominees for the 2012 prize was announced in early July, a selection of titles available through the Minuteman Library Network are listed below along with links to winners from previous years, the full list can be found on the website of the Author’s Club: http://dolmanprize.wordpress.com/dolman-travel-book-award/.
