Man Booker Prize 2011 Winner

On October 18, 2011 Julian Barnes was named the winner of the Man Booker Prize for Fiction for his book, The Sense of an Ending, published by Jonathan Cape. In press leading up to the announcement, Mr. Barnes, was frequently cited as a favorite of the 5 books on the shortlist.

The Sense of an Ending is Julian Barnes’ fourth novel placed on the short list. He had been nominated in the past for Arthur and George (2005), England, England (1998) and Flaubert’s Parrot (1984).
